Investigation continues for Ryan Larsen 6 months after disappearance

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Wednesday marks six months since 12-year-old Ryan Larsen disappeared in La Vista. The young boy with Autism left school back on May 17th and never returned home.
Now a half a year later, the search continues with little to no leads.
Chief of La Vista Police, Bob Lausten, says the longer a case like this goes on, the suspicion of foul play increases. But right now, they still don’t have any information to believe he was kidnapped or abducted.
With hunting season approaching, the Chief is asking for people to be on the lookout for anything they see that’s out of the ordinary.
“We’re six months into this case, the chances that we may have a body out there, if they come across anything that seems really odd, in a field, or by a riverbank, or whatever, take note of that and call 911. Let us come out and check it out,” Lausten said.
All of these months later, La Vista Police say their main goal is to find Ryan and give some closure to the community.
