Alex Gordon retires after 14 seasons with the Royals
The Lincoln Southeast grad and former Husker played his final game in a Kansas City Royals uniform.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After 14 season with the Kansas City Royals, Alex Gordon retired from baseball this afternoon. The Lincoln Southeast graduate and former Husker was the second overall draft pick in 2005, won seven Gold Gloves, and was on the Royals’ 2015 World Series Championship team. Gordon played a total of 1,752 career games for the Royals.
