SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) – Concordia University, Nebraska (CUNE) announced today that Dr. Angie Fedon, Director of Classroom Innovation & Online Education, was recognized with the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program (ECP) Award. The ECP Award identifies faculty from around the world.

“Dr. Angie Fedon is dedicated to teaching Concordia’s master’s level students with engaging and practical online classroom experiences. She intentionally designs high quality content and learning experiences that have purpose and directly apply to her students’ teaching and leading in their own classrooms,” said Concordia Nebraska Head of Teacher Education and Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences Dr. Lorinda Sankey. “Additionally, Angie leads Concordia’s Instructional Design Team with excellence as her team integrates Angie’s educational experience and practice into all of Concordia’s online graduate courses.”

The ECP has been recognizing faculty and course designers for nearly two decades. Fedon was recognized for the course EDUC 506 – Integrating Technology which is a course in the university’s graduate program.

To be considered, faculty and course designers must use a learning management system called Blackboard LMS.

“We are proud to recognize educators like Dr. Fedon, whose work reflects the creativity, care and intention behind impactful course design,” said Dr. Lisa Clark, Associate Vice President of Academic Transformation at Blackboard. “Their efforts help create learning experiences that are more engaging, effective and supportive for students.”
