LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say a 911 call about shots being fired that drew a large police response turned out to be a false alarm.
Lincoln Police responded to the Comfort Suites near 56th and R St. around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
Several officers, at least one of whom had drawn a weapon, entered the hotel.
Officers on the scene told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the noise the caller heard – which they perceived to be someone shooting at the window – was likely from a nail gun being used nearby.
