Man arrested for DUI after critically injuring Lincoln man last month

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday for DUI after he hit and critically injured a Lincoln man with his vehicle in October.

Lincoln Police arrested 31-year-old Travis Tucker for DUI-Serious Bodily Injury, a Class 3A Felony.

Tucker reportedly smashed into 33-year-old Nick Jarecke and his fiance on October 17th near the 27th and Old Cheney intersection.

Jarecke was released from the hospital on November 19 after spending several weeks in the ICU.

Police say Tucker’s BAC was .226 from a blood draw.
