Police catch teens smoking marijuana near school

Lincoln police say two 16-year-olds were caught smoking marijuana near Southeast High School.

Police Officer Katie Flood says a citizen called police anonymously reporting the teenagers were in a car at Super Saver parking lot smoking marijuana from an apple.  The caller gave police the license plate number.

Officers found the car Monday afternoon in a Lincoln Southeast High School parking lot.  Officer Flood says the boys were smoking marijuana from an apple and a cucumber. The driver was cited and released for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The passenger was not cited, however both teens were suspended from school.
