Super Target In Lincoln?
Plans have surfaced for a shopping area in south Lincoln that would be anchored by a Target Super Center. The proposed development would also include a bank, restaurant and fast food outlets by July of 2007. It would be located near 40th and Yankee Hill Road.
The Target would cover about 175,000 square feet, the same size that was too small for a Wal-Mart at 84th and Adams on the northeast edge of town. By comparison the target in the Edgewood Shopping Center is just over 100,000 feet. An informational meeting on the future project was held Wednesday night. The city would require the store to be landscaped. Parking areas must be screened from the street with low shrubs.
