Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford found guilty of traffic violation following celebration parade in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A verdict was reached in the case of a traffic incident involving Terence “Bud” Crawford in September.
A jury on Monday found Crawford guilty of careless driving. This comes after the Omaha boxing champion was stopped by police following his celebration parade in Omaha.

Just before 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, officers saw a vehicle driving recklessly near North 12th Street and Capitol Avenue, according to the Omaha Police Department. Officers pulled the car over on Cass Street.

While speaking with the driver, an officer saw a firearm on the driver’s side floorboard.
OPD said all four occupants were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
Crawford was later identified as the driver and was issued a citation for reckless driving.
One of the passengers, a member of Crawford’s security team, was also carrying a legal firearm.
Police said that all four occupants were legally permitted to carry firearms. A police supervisor and lieutenant responded to the scene at Crawford’s request.
Crawford had to pay a $75 fine following the verdict.
