Two Sisters Die In Car Accident, Another Clinging To Life

Two sisters die and a third is injured when their vehicle collides with a tractor trailer in rural Lancaster County.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Offfice says 22-year-old Nelya Strilkivsky of Crete was the driver of an eastbound Honda Civic that struck a westbound semi on Nebraska Highway 33 shortly after 9:30 Sunday morning.

Strilkivsky's 7-year-old sister Anna was a passenger in the backseat. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Another sister, 11-year-old Tanya, was in the front seat. She was life-flighted to a Lincoln hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The truck was hauling a wheat flour product.
