Lincoln Mayor Gaylor Baird endorses Sen. Pansing Brooks for Congress
Brooks announced her run for Nebraska's First Congressional District back in November.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird has endorsed State Sen. Patty Pansing Brooks for Congress.
Pansing Brooks announced her run for Nebraska’s 1st Congressional District back in November.
If she wins the Democratic nomination in May, she will be running against Rep. Jeff Fortenberry or Sen. Mike Flood in the general election.
Flood was endorsed by Gov. Pete Ricketts and former Gov. Dave Heineman in January.
Fortenberry has served in the position since 2005.
Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird & I have worked in parallel for over a decade. Together, we’ve fought to build a culture of inclusion here in Lincoln & enact the progress Nebraskans deserve.
