Pickens, Amukamara among inductees in Nebraska Football Hall of Fame 2022 class

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Six Husker standouts, a coach from UNK and a Concordia player are in this year’s Nebraska Football Hall of Fame class.

The eight inductees were announced by the University of Nebraska on Monday.

The group will officially be inducted at a Sept. 9 banquet and recognized the next day at the Huskers’ home game against Georgia Southern.

This year’s class will include defensive back Ric Lindquist (1980s), cornerback Bruce Pickens (1990s), offensive guard Toniu Fonoti (2000-06) and cornerback Prince Amukamara (2007-12).

Offensive tackle Ron McDole and linebacker Lee Kunz were also selected by the committee.

University of Nebraska at Kearney coach Darrell Morris and Concordia tight end Ross Wurdeman will also be inducted into the hall of fame.

The Nebraska Football Hall of Fame will also be awarding Marlene Ricketts the Clarence E. Swanson Meritorious Service Award.

Longtime athletic department members Dr. Lonnie Albers and Mike Arthur will be awarded the Lyell Bremser Special Merit Award.
