Thousands of dollars raised for man who police say was beaten and robbed
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Thousands of dollars have already been raised to help a man who police say was beaten in front of his girlfriend last weekend.
It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday near Lincoln’s International Quilt Museum.
Police said six to seven men attacked a 22-year-old who’s since been identified on GoFundMe page as Armin Ajir.
The fundraising page includes a photo showing him in the hospital.
His girlfriend, Margaux Stanley, says the attackers continued beating Ajir even after he fell unconscious and also stole his shoes.
Stanley added that the assault landed him in the intensive care unit, where he’s been fighting for his life.

As of Wednesday night, $3,800 has been raised. The goal is $50,000
Police said the violent robbers took Ajir’s key fob and then tried stealing his car as well.
But his 20-year-old girlfriend stood in the way, so they snatched her purse and ran off, making off with $761 worth of items.
LPD hasn’t released a description of any suspects, and they were still on the loose as of the department’s latest update.
