LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Recruits, transfers and walk-ons across the country signed letters of intent Wednesday to play for Nebraska.

Coach Matt Rhule held a press conference at Memorial Stadium around 11:30 a.m. to discuss National Signing Day.

The 2024 recruiting class includes Dylan Raiola, Carter Nelson and Grant Brix.

Dylan Raiola

Raiola, the son of Husker legend Dominic Raiola, is a five-star quarterback from Buford, Georgia, according to 247Sports.

He initially committed to Georgia in May but announced Monday that he would be flipping to Nebraska.

Raiola is the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 2 overall player in the 2024 class, 247Sports says.

He is the highest-ranked recruit to pick Nebraska since 2006, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported.

Dylan’s uncle, Donovan Raiola, is Nebraska’s offensive line coach.

Jacory Barney Jr.

Barney is a three-star wide receiver from Miami, 247Sports says.

He had offers from several other schools, including Miami, Texas A&M and Arizona.

Blye Hill

Hill – a Baltimore native – is a three-star cornerback transfer from Saint Francis.

He was an All-Northeast Conference player at Saint Francis, according to 247Sports.  Hill has three years of eligibility left.

Caleb Benning

Benning – the son of former Husker Damon Benning – is a three-star athlete from Omaha Westside.

In 2023, Benning caught 45 passes for 602 yards and seven touchdowns, 247Sports reported.

He had offers from several other schools, including Duke, Iowa and Kansas.

Mario Buford

Mario is joining his brother, Marques Buford, on Nebraska’s secondary defense.

He is a three-star cornerback from DeSoto, Texas, 247Sports says.

Grant Brix

Brix is a four-star offensive tackle from Logan, Iowa, according to 247Sports.  He is the No. 1 recruit from Iowa.

Brix had offers from other schools, including Alabama, Oklahoma and Auburn, according to 247Sports.

Carter Nelson

Nelson is a four-star tight end from Ainsworth, according to 247Sports.

He is the No. 1 recruit in Nebraska and the No. 2 tight end in the 2024 class.

The 6-foot-4 athlete had offers from Georgia, Alabama, Penn State and Notre Dame.

Braylen Prude

Prude is a three-star linebacker from Pearland, Texas, 247Sports says.

He is the son of former NFL defensive back Ronnie Prude, who was also a member of LSU’s 2003 national championship team.

Donovan Jones

Jones is a three-star athlete from Omaha North High School.

He is the No. 13 recruit from Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

Ashton Murphy

Murphy is a three-star offensive tackle from Elkhorn South.

He is the No. 4 recruit from Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

Keelan Smith

Smith is a three-star tight end from Liberty, Missouri.  He also had an offer from Missouri.

The 6-foot-3 athlete is the No. 19 recruit from the Show Me State.

Eric Ingwerson

Ingwerson is a three-star defensive lineman from Papillion-La Vista.

He is the No. 12 recruit from Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

Ingwerson caught 10 passes for 105 yards and four touchdowns in his senior year.

Ian Flynt

Flynt is a three-star tight end from Katy, Texas, according to 247Sports.

He had offers from several other schools, including Houston and Kansas.

Jake Peters

Peters is an offensive lineman from Cedar Falls, Iowa.  He is the No. 19 recruit from Iowa, according to 247Sports.

He also competed in track and field throwing events and basketball in high school.

Dae’vonn Hall

Hall is a three-star wide receiver from Bellevue West.  He is the No. 3 recruit in Nebraska, 247Sports says.

He had offers from several other schools, including Arkansas, Iowa and Kansas.

Isaiah McMorris

McMorris is a three-star wide receiver from Bellevue West.  He is the No. 7 recruit in Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

He had offers from several other schools, including Minnesota, Iowa and Kansas State.

Daniel Kaelin

Kaelin is a three-star quarterback from Bellevue West.  He is the No. 2 recruit in Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

Kaelin had offers from other schools, including Colorado, Missouri and Duke.

Gibson Pyle

Pyle is a three-star offensive tackle from Houston.

He is the No. 96 recruit in Texas, according to 247Sports.

Roger Gradney

Gradney is a four-star wide receiver from Altair, Texas.

He is the No. 45 recruit in Texas, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect plays at Rice Consolidated High School.  He had offers from UTSA and Texas Tech.

Rex Guthrie

Guthrie is a three-star safety from Littleton, Colorado.

He is the No. 4 recruit from Colorado, according to 247Sports.


Landen Davidson

Davidson is a three-star offensive tackle from Broomfield, Colorado.  He is the No. 6 recruit in Colorado, 247Sports says.

Davidson had offers from several other schools, including Colorado, Iowa State and Kansas.

Quinn Clark 

Quinn – the son of former Husker great Ken Clark – is a three-star wide receiver from Bozeman, Montana.

He is the No. 1 recruit from Montana, according to 247Sports.

Willis McGahee IV

McGahee is a three-star edge rusher from Miami.  He is the No. 65 recruit in Florida, according to 247Sports.

His father, Willis McGahee, was a star running back at Miami.  He was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2002.


Vincent Shavers Jr.

Shavers is a three-star linebacker from Miami.  He is the No. 132 recruit from Florida, according to 247Sports.

Shavers initially committed to play for Miami but flipped to Nebraska on Friday.

Larry Tarver Jr.

Tarver is a three-star cornerback from Miami.  He is the No. 140 recruit from the Sunshine State, according to 247Sports.

Tarver had offers from several other schools, including Maryland and Texas A&M.

Evan Taylor

Taylor is a three-star athlete from Waxhaw, North Carolina.

He is the No. 21 recruit from North Carolina, according to 247Sports.

Nico Ottomanelli

Ottomanelli is a kicker from Harrington Park, New Jersey.

Xander Ruggeroli

Ruggeroli is a three-star offensive lineman from Las Vegas.

He is the No. 11 recruit from Nevada, according to 247Sports.

Bode Soukup

Soukup is a quarterback from Blair.  He does not have a player rating on 247Sports.

Amare Sanders

Sanders is a three-star cornerback from Miami.  He is the No. 130 recruit from Florida, according to 247Sports.
