Scott Frost: Huskers prepared to face Minnesota

"I've seen tremendous growth out of our team the last three weeks," Frost said.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Scott Frost says the Huskers are ready to go to take on Minnesota on Saturday.

Frost wasn’t pleased the last time Nebraska responded after it won a game against Penn State. The Big Red followed up that performance with a blowout loss to Illinois.

“I’ve seen tremendous growth out of our team the last three weeks,” Frost said.

The Huskers kickoff against the Gophers on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on FS1.

Frost also said he agrees with the Big Ten’s decision to allow Ohio State to play in the conference championship game despite not meeting the initial criteria.

“It’s probably what’s best for the conference,” Frost said, though he was quick to say he didn’t think the decision had anything to do with Nebraska.

Other Notes:

  • Frost said the Huskers have had around 20 positive antigen tests so far this season, with one or two false positives. Running back Marvin Scott was held out of last Saturday’s game at Purdue because of a false positive.
  • Running back Sevion Morrison is available to play against Minnesota on Saturday. The freshman has yet to play a game this season.
