Lincoln man gets federal gun sentence on top of prison term for theft from bar

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man already in prison for theft was sentenced Wednesday for another crime.
Dillon Salvo, 29, got 2½ years in federal prison for receiving and possessing unregistered firearm suppressors.
He will serve that time after he finishes his state theft sentences.
On March 19, 2023, law enforcement searched a home in Ceresco where Salvo and William Rader were living.
Officers were looking for almost $60,000 worth of walk-in cooler panels that were stolen from Lil’ Risky, which was under construction at the time.
They found them, according to police, but they also discovered numerous firearms and four unregistered suppressors.
More than 26 firearms were forfeited, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
In July, Salvo was sentenced to four to eight years in prison for stealing the cooler panels.
He is set to be sentenced in a misdemeanor theft case on Thursday and is awaiting trial on felony theft charges in Cass County.
After his federal prison sentence, Salvo will spend two years on supervised release.
Rader was sentenced in August to a year in prison in the federal gun case.
He has also been convicted of the cooler panel theft but has yet to be sentenced.
Rader is scheduled to be tried in another theft case next month.
