LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 39-year-old Lincoln woman was sentenced in federal court Wednesday for her role in a methamphetamine ring.

Stephanie Cummings received nine years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

After she is released from prison, she will serve four years on supervised release.

Cummings was arrested on Dec. 6, 2023, after a sting operation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Law enforcement intercepted a package containing 4 pounds of meth, then undercover officers delivered the package to a home in Omaha.

Authorities said Cummings and Mitchell Bostic arrived in a vehicle and picked up the package.

When he realized they were being followed, Bostic told Cummings to throw the package out of the car window.

Police found the package, stopped the pair and arrested them both.

Bostic was sentenced to 19 years and seven months in prison earlier this year.

Another co-conspirator, 50-year-old Jolene Armentrout of Grand Island, was sentenced to seven years and 10 months.

Another accomplice, 56-year-old Robert Burkhardt Jr. of Grand Island, got four years and nine months.

And yet another co-conspirator, 42-year-old Lonnie Mason of Grand Island, is awaiting sentencing on May 7.
