High School Football Preview: Norris Titans look to rise to the top of Class B

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Norris Titans are full steam ahead in 2025 after a 6-4 record last fall.
This year, they have a new head coach on the sidelines.
Assistant Coach Trevor Sedlacek, who had been with the staff for five years, was promoted after Ty Twarling stepped down.
Sedlacek said he’s focused on a purpose and taking this team to the finish line.
“We’ve been finishing empty every rep that we’ve gone through,” he said. “That way, when it’s the end of the game, we’ve still got more in the tank.”

Norris lost to Waverly 17-16 in the first round of the playoffs in 2024.
Since that 1-point loss, the Titan seniors said a lot has changed.
“We’ve learned that the little details matter,” said Chris Garner Jr., a senior safety and wide receiver. “It gets overlooked a lot, but those little details could cost us a game.”

They also feel more prepared this season.
“We’re a different team, but I think we’re better in almost every way,” said Nolan Reinboth, a senior tackle and defensive end. “We’re bigger, stronger, faster. I think we’ve got what it takes.”
One change is a new face at quarterback. Evan Greenfield, starting point guard for the basketball team, will now lead the Titans’ offense on the gridiron, replacing Jehret Behrends.
The Titans finished eighth in Class B last season, but Sedlacek said this team is expecting to be competitive with anyone.
They have a simple goal.
“We’re going to be tough; we’re going to be the toughest team on the field every single day,” Sedlacek said. “The seniors, I told them as soon as I got the job, when I had my first introduction, I was like, ‘You guys have set the standard and the expectation that we’re going to be at Memorial Stadium competing for a state championship.”
Norris kicks off its 2025 season versus the defending state champ in Class B, Omaha Skutt Catholic.
