LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A box truck driver was arrested Saturday morning after a deadly crash in Madison County, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash happened at around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 81 and 32, just east of Madison.

The sheriff’s office said a box truck was heading west when it went through a stop sign at the intersection and hit a southbound Jeep on Highway 81.

The Jeep, driven by 49-year-old Robin Cobaugh of Ogallala, ended up in a ditch.  The collision caused the box truck to spin and roll onto its side.

Cobaugh was taken to a hospital in Norfolk, where she later died.

Authorities arrested the box truck driver, 54-year-old Jose Figueredo, on suspicion of reckless driving and motor vehicle homicide.
