LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 7-ranked Nebraska basketball team fell to No. 13 Purdue on Tuesday night, losing 80-77 in overtime at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

A 29-11 run by Nebraska in the second half helped the Big Red force overtime following a 16-point halftime deficit.

As a team, the Huskers shot 44% from the floor and 38% from beyond the arc, while Purdue shot 37% and 28% from deep.

Rienk Mast led Nebraska in scoring with 18 points, hitting six of his 13 shots. He also pulled in a team-high six rebounds and dished out seven assists, also leading the team.

Mast fouled out just after the overtime period started.

Jamarques Lawrence followed close behind with 16 points, while Pryce Sandfort tallied 15 points. Everyone who saw the floor for the Huskers scored.

Purdue was dominant in the paint throughout the entirety of the game, racking up 24 points in the paint and 21 offensive rebounds.

The Huskers will look to get back on track against Northwestern on Saturday at PBA.

Tipoff is set for noon on the Big Ten Network.
