Winter storm potential Thursday

WINTER WEATHER IS LIKELY FOR THURSDAY

Snow starts up in the AM for western Nebraska, into central Nebraska by mid day, then into eastern Nebraska by early Thursday evening. The bulk of the snow Thursday will be in the northern half of Nebraska. Along and south of I-80 will see more dry air as the storm system pulls further north, so we’ll get maybe 1-2″, with less the further south you go.

WINTER STORM WARNING and WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
Exact timing varies, but overall this starts late tonight and goes through late Thursday into very early Friday. These advisories and warnings are in place north of I-80. With a gusty north wind, blowing and drifting will make travel difficult to impossible.

We’re going to cool down quite a bit, too. No more 60s and 70s!

State Forecast Highs Tomorrow

After a colder few days, we do warm back up by the middle of next week. Precipitation chances will be minimal next week, as well.
