Nebraska Community Blood Bank donates to Team Jack from each blood donation

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) donated almost $4,000 to the Team Jack organization.

Team Jack is a nonprofit organization that contributes to childhood brain cancer research. The organization started when a community backed Jack Hoffman, the organization founder’s son and childhood brain cancer survivor.

Jack passed away after a 14-year-battle with brain cancer. He was 19.

During Brain Cancer Awareness Month, NCBB invited donors to contribute to the Team Jack organization. For every blood donation, NCBB pledged to donate $1.

Today, they presented Team Jack the donation that will contribute to pediatric brain cancer research.
