America First Party and Nebraska Working People Party approved for next step to make it on the ballot

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska’s Secretary of State’s (SOS) office announced that Nebraska Working People Party and America First Party have both collected enough signatures to move forward.

According to SOS, Nebraska Working People Party organizers submitted their petition signatures on July 14 and America First Party organizers submitted their petitions on July 15. The Office of Secretary of State, Robert Evnen, office had 20 business days to verify the signatures.

Each verification finished once the petition reached 110% of the required number of signatures in each congressional district.

Each party now has 20 calendar days to submit a party constitution.
