Arrest made in Edgewood Theatre shooting investigation

LINCOLN, Neb, (KLKN) — Lincoln police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the Edgewood Theatre shooting earlier this month.

After reviewing video, police say the suspect arrived in a maroon Kia Optima with the alleged shooters. LPD says the 17-year-old was driving the car and then fled the scene after the shooting happened.

He was arrested and taken to Youth Assessment Center and faces accessory to class two felony charges.

Jayden Prentice, 19, and Christopher (CJ) Duncan, 18, were both shot outside Edgewood Cinema near 56th and Hwy 2 on Aug. 4.

They both remain in the hospital in stable, but critical condition.
