COVID-19 cases decline in Lancaster County; risk dial remains in low orange

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The county’s COVID-19 risk dial is once again staying in low orange as cases make a slight decline from the previous week.
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has seen a steady decrease in cases since the risk dial was raised into the orange category, which indicates a high risk of virus spread.
Last week, the department reported 633 cases, which is down from the 656 reported the week before.
The health department said it also saw a decrease in virus particles in its wastewater surveillance over the past week.
Hospitalizations also decreased, with the seven-day rolling average dropping from 47 last week to 41 on Tuesday.
