Husker football’s Garrett Nelson declares for NFL draft
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska’s own Garrett Nelson is putting his name in the NFL draft.
The Scottsbluff native made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday.

Nelson spent four seasons with the Huskers but still had one year of eligibility left.
The edge rusher was a defensive standout for Nebraska, picking up 167 tackles and 12 sacks in 43 games.
Nelson earned postseason honors this year, being named to second-team All-Big Ten.

Several Huskers have declared for the NFL draft this offseason, including Trey Palmer, Ochaun Mathis, Chancellor Brewington and Caleb Tannor.
