Nebraska softball dominates Big Ten seasonal awards
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Following a dominating regular season in the Big Ten Conference, the Nebraska softball team was honored with a host of seasonal awards.
Jordy Frahm, Alexis Jensen and Rhonda Revelle all earned individual awards, while six Huskers were named to All-Big Ten teams.
Frahm was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season, Jensen was tabbed as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Revelle was honored as the Big Ten Coach of the Year.
Frahm was also on the All-Big Ten first team, while Jensen, Samantha Bland, Hannah Coor, Kacie Hoffmann and Ava Kuszak were second-team All-Big Ten members.
Frahm (pitcher) and Coor (outfield) were named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team, Jensen represented the Huskers on the Big Ten All-Freshman team and Emmerson Cope was Nebraska’s sportsmanship honoree.

Revelle earned coach of the year honors after leading the Huskers to a 43-6 regular season record, which is the highest win percentage in program history (.878).
She also coached Nebraska to its highest ranking ever at No. 2 in the NFCA Coaches Poll this week.
With the award, Revelle now has five conference coach of the year awards and her second in the Big Ten.
Under Revelle, the Huskers finished with a 23-1 record in the Big Ten and earned an outright regular-season title. NU’s 23 conference wins tied the Big Ten record for most league wins in a season.

Frahm was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year for the second season in a row, now becoming a four-time conference pitcher of the year winner.
That makes her only the third power conference pitcher to accomplish that feat.
The Papillion native was also named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 list, and is currently ranked in the top 20 nationally in nine different stat categories.
Frahm leads the Huskers in batting average (.429), runs scored (55), hits (70), triples (four), home runs (19), slugging percentage (.890), on-base percentage (.523), ERA (1.25), shutouts (seven), saves (10) and strikeouts (193).

Jensen was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, becoming the first Nebraska freshman to win the award since Ava Bredwell in 2022.
She was named a top 10 candidate for the NFCA Freshman of the Year, ranked in the top 15 nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (fifth), strikeouts per seven innings (seventh), wins (ninth) and strikeouts (14th).
The Gretna native owns a 21-2 record and a 2.72 ERA in the circle, and has struck out 185 batters and only walked 31.
Offensively, Jensen is batting .333 with four doubles and six homers.

Coor has started every game for the Huskers in center field this season. She is batting .325 with five homers and six doubles, along with 27 RBIs. She has 49 hits and has scored 42 runs, while also maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Hoffmann is batting .354 this season with seven doubles and three homers, along with 28 RBIs. She only missed two games in right field and added a .401 on-base percentage.
Kuszak added 48 RBIs and 13 home runs to the Big Red lineup, along with 10 doubles and two triples. She is batting .317 and has started every game at shortstop. She posted a .640 slugging percentage and a .387 on-base percentage.
Bland rounds out the Huskers on the All-Big Ten second team, batting .282 with 31 hits and 27 RBIs. She has logged 90 assists and 31 putouts.

The Huskers will continue their quest for a Big Ten Tournament title on Friday against Indiana.
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
