Nebraska volleyball reveals full 2026 schedule

LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics) — The Nebraska volleyball program and the Big Ten Conference announced the 2026 schedule on Thursday. The Huskers will play 28 regular-season matches – 17 against Big Ten opponents and 11 against non-conference foes.
Nebraska’s schedule features nine matches against teams that finished in the top 25 of the 2025 AVCA Coaches Poll.

The Huskers’ early-season road tour begins in Arlington, Texas, for the Spikes Under the Lights exhibition event on Aug. 27 at AT&T Stadium. NU will face two teams from Florida, Penn State and SMU, in the NIL event.

Nebraska then heads to Las Vegas for the Players Era Showcase with the Aug. 29 official season opener against UNLV and an Aug. 30 showdown against Texas at T-Mobile Arena.
On Sept. 2, the Huskers will play South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D., before heading to Chicago for two matches: at DePaul at Wintrust Arena on Sept. 4, and the Big Ten/SEC Challenge match against Missouri on Sept. 6 at Wrigley Field.

The Huskers start their home slate on Sept. 10 against New Mexico in the Ameritas Players Challenge. Baylor (Sept. 11) and Georgia Tech (Sept. 12) will also be part of that tournament schedule.
Nebraska will host in-state foe Creighton on Sept. 16 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, the lone regular-season match set to be played at PBA. Non-conference play ends with Husker Invitational home matches against North Carolina (Sept. 18) and Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 20).
NU opens Big Ten play at home against Rutgers (Sept. 25) and Ohio State (Sept. 26). The Huskers then play three straight on the road at Penn State (Oct. 1), at Maryland (Oct. 3) and at Indiana (Oct. 8).
The Big Red returns home for an Oct. 10 match against Wisconsin before visiting Northwestern on Oct. 15.
A stretch of three straight home matches features Purdue (Oct. 17), UCLA (Oct. 22) and USC (Oct. 24). NU then plays its next four on the road at Michigan (Oct. 30), at Michigan State (Oct. 31), at Oregon (Nov. 7) and at Washington (Nov. 8).
The regular season concludes with three home matches to finish: Illinois (Nov. 12), Iowa (Nov. 14) and Minnesota (Nov. 17).
The first-ever Big Ten Tournament will be held at Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Ind., from Nov. 20-25.
