Because of this chance, there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms. This means that one or two strong to severe storms will be possible somewhere in the green shaded area.

State Forecast Highs Day After Tomorrow

On Thursday, a cold front will push across the state leaving us with cooler air for much of the western half of the state. It makes it into eastern Nebraska by the afternoon.

By the time the front gets into eastern Nebraska, the timing will be right for severe storms. Storms that do get going will have the potential for hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes.

Because of this severe weather potential, much of eastern Nebraska is in a level 2 “Slight Risk” for severe storms by late afternoon into the evening on Thursday.

10 Day Forecast

After the storm chance on Friday, we have hit and miss storm chances through the weekend into next week. Temperatures cool off, too!
