Three-star tight end Ismael Smith Flores commits to Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska is bolstering its tight end room with a three-star recruit from Arlington, Texas.
Ismael Smith Flores announced his commitment to Nebraska via Twitter on Monday.

Smith Flores played at Martin High School in Arlington, where Huskers’ tight end coach Bob Wager coached for 17 years.
The Arlington native’s father is Leroy Smith, a defensive linebacker who played at Iowa from 1987 to 1991.
Smith Flores joins a long list of 2023 recruits, including Malachi Coleman, Maverick Noonan and Princewill Umanmielen.
Nebraska is working to build up its tight end roster, as the Huskers saw Travis Vokolek and Chancellor Brewington declare for the NFL draft in December.
On Sunday, former five-star recruit Arik Gilbert announced he would be transferring to play at Nebraska.
