Wall Street Journal names Abdullah best of the NFL Combine
The Wall Street Journal named former Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah one of the best of the NFL Scouting Combine, which took place last weekend in Indianapolis.
The newspaper rated players on how they fared during drills, using a point system. Abdullah came in second in the ratings behind Oregon quarterback and potential No. 1 pick Marcus Mariota, but writer Jonathan Clegg said Abdullah was the one player that could name himself the “best of the best” at the combine.
Abdullah was the top performer in vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill and short shuttle among running backs.
