Kevin Coskren's Back Yard BBQ on Channel 8 Eyewitness News
Channel 8 KLKN-TV is seeking backyards to be featured in our Backyard Bar-B-Q segments during the Channel 8 Eyewitness News. This is a great opportunity to treat your family and friends to a backyard feast by applying to be the host for Channel 8 Eyewitness News Meteorologist Kevin Coskren's Backyard BBQ sponsored by Super Saver and Glenn's True Value Hardware.
Each Thursday from June 4 through August 27, excluding July 2, Kevin takes his live weathercast on the road, weather permitting, during Channel 8 Eyewitness News at Six. Super Saver will provide the food for the person selected and and up to 8 guests. Glenn's True Value Hardware will provide the grill for the evening and a limited edition Channel 8 KLKN-TV EZ Read Illuminated rain gauge.
To apply to be a host, send a postcard to Kevin's Backyard BBQ, KLKN-TV, 3240 South Tenth Street, Lincoln, NE 68502, or send an email to bybbq@klkntv.com , with the Backyard BBQ as the subject of the email. You must provide your name, address and day and night telephone number. To be eligible to host a Backyard BBQ, the selected person's home must be within the range of the Channel 8 Eyewitness News Live truck. Applicants will be selected based upon location so that different areas of Lincoln can be represented. There may be occasions when Kevin Coskren would not be able to attend.
