Lincoln’s coldest mornings in months; warming up through Wednesday
Both Monday and Tuesday mornings were the coldest temperatures we’ve seen since early April. Lincoln’s morning low dropped to 15° on Monday and around 16° on Tuesday. We haven’t been that cold since April 6th!
But while we’ve seen some of the coldest mornings in months, we continue to warm in the afternoons nicely. Weather should be quiet enough for a while to enjoy a car wash after the last snow that’s likely brought some salt and grime to the car.
There are a couple small chances for precipitation through the end of the week, but late Thursday the system looks to be too far south to bring anything to the area.
Other than a second chance on Saturday, we’ll be trending warm and dry for the first full week of December. The 6-10 Day Outlook from the Climate Prediction Center highlights Nebraska and much of the upper Midwest for having good chances at above average temperatures through December 7th.
Again through that same timeframe, we’re also going to remain pretty dry. Most of Nebraska and the Southwest have better chances at below average precipitation.
At this time of the year without snow on the ground, it doesn’t take much to warm up throughout the day, and we look to do that for a majority of the days going forward.
