Former Huskers sing praises of interim AD Dennis Leblanc
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Former Huskers have flooded social media with positive comments about Dennis Leblanc becoming Nebraska’s interim athletic director.
“Dennis is responsible for more successful Huskers than probably anyone else alive,” former football player Mike Stuntz said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
The University of Nebraska said nearly 4,000 student-athletes have earned degrees during Leblanc’s tenure.

Former Husker defensive end Adam Carriker said he had no idea what career path he wanted to follow.
Leblanc helped him choose business.
“It was almost prophetic because it really helps me in what I do for a living now,” Carriker said.

He said Leblanc should be considered for the permanent position.
“Dennis is a guy who’s been around,” Carriker said. “He’s a guy who knows people and understands how things work.”
Carriker also mentioned a few other names, including Scott Barnes — the athletic director at Oregon State — and Garth Glissman — a former Husker who has worked for the NBA and the SEC.
