Huskers remain confident despite 0-2 start
"If you don't have belief, you don't have anything else," Warner said. "You have to believe that the next step is coming."

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — There’s a reason Kade Warner was named a captain by his Nebraska football teammates this year.
The junior wide receiver took the podium on Monday following the Huskers’ 10th loss by a score or less under head coach Scott Frost. Warner’s confident though, was still high.
“If you don’t have belief, you don’t have anything else,” Warner said. “You have to believe that the next step is coming.”
His teammates echoed that statement. Several of them saying it’s time to buckle down to get over the hump of losing close games. Nebraska fell at Northwestern on Saturday, 21-13.
“There are less games this year, it makes every game that much more important,” said senior Ben Stille.
Head coach Scott Frost once again blamed himself for the lack of wins so far in his tenure. He is now just 9-17 as the Huskers head football coach.
“The state of Nebraska means so much to me,” Frost said. “This program means everything. Nobody is putting more pressure on themselves than I am.”
Nebraska’s home opener is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday on FS1 against Penn State. The Nittany Lions are struggling this season as well, off to a 0-3 start after a blowout loss at Maryland over the weekend.
Senior linebacker Collin Miller said this game could be the step Nebraska needs to take by beating a upper-echelon program like Penn State, even in a down year.
“This could be the movement that we need to get this thing going,” Miller said.
