Husker volleyball wins inaugural Spikes Under the Lights in Texas

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No. 1 Nebraska volleyball won the first-ever “Spikes Under the Lights” event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Thursday.
The Huskers defeated No. 17 Florida (21-19, 21-18) and No. 11 SMU (21-12, 21-11) in a pair of best-of-three matches to claim the title.
Nebraska wins $150,000 with the victory and gets a total of $350,000 from participating in the inaugural event.
The Huskers now head to Las Vegas where they will take on UNLV on Saturday at 7 p.m. on Saturday and then No. 2 Texas at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Both matches are going to be played inside T-Mobile Arena.
