Waverly City Council approves liquor license application

The Waverly City Council approved an application for a liquor license for Shakers.

Before, you could bring your own alcohol into Shakers, now Shakers can sell it.

“The last 24 years all we wanted to do was run a business and get along with everybody, the difference is here we’ll have a liquor license,” Dan Robinson, owner of Shakers, said.

The council agreed to allow liquor sales on a few conditions…

Robinson closes Shakers in four years, he’ll close at 2:00 a.m. every night and will not put controversial messages on their marque sign outside of the business.
