A bright Monday filled with sunshine!

The air had a bit of a chill on Monday morning as temperatures dropped to the mid to upper-40s in many spots. Jackets might be a good idea as you’re heading out the door on Monday morning.

However, you’ll want to rip the jackets off by Monday afternoon. We’re anticipating full sunshine, which will allow high temperatures to rise to the low-80s in the capital city.

Monday Forecast

While the lack of clouds has a warming effect during the daytime, it has a cooling effect in the nighttime hours. Low temperatures on Tuesday morning will easily fall to the mid to upper-40s yet again under clear skies.

Monday Night Forecast

Tuesday’s weather will almost be a repeat of Monday’s weather – a chilly start, but warm by afternoon! High temperatures on Tuesday will likely top out in the upper-70s.

We’re watching a disturbance to our east that may throw some low-level clouds on Tuesday, but the day will be mostly sunny overall.

Stormcast Tuesday Afternoon

That same disturbance may throw more clouds our way Wednesday, and it is possible to see a few isolated sprinkles. The best chance for sprinkles will be east of the Missouri River, but we won’t rule some out in Lincoln on Wednesday. As you head west of Lincoln, that chance drops off sharply. You shouldn’t expect meaningful rainfall from any sprinkles that do arise.
