Fundraiser benefiting Timothy Beem family
On Monday at the Chick-fil-A, 20% of the proceeds from 5-7 p.m. went to the Beem family.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Tragedy last week in Lincoln, when 56-year-old Timothy Beem was hit and killed on Highway 77.
A long-time family friend and business owner held a fundraiser for Beem’s family.
“It feels really good to be able to do something. I think in these situation, you don’t know what to say sometimes you don’t know what to do and so owning a resturant kinda of the only thing we can do is feed people’s spirits and feed people’s tummies,” says Charlie Colón, owner of Southpointe Chick-fil-A.
On Monday at the Chick-fil-A, 20% of the proceeds from 5-7 p.m. went to the Beem family.
Colón says they’ve known the family for several years and wanted to help. He says he’s so proud to see the community show their support as well.
“Its one of the reasons I live here, it’s one of the reasons I love owning a buisness in Lincoln and living in Lincoln. There’s really good people here that just tend to take care of one another and that’s on display tonight,” says Colón.
If you couldn’t make it to Chick-fil-A Monday evening, you can still donate to the family at Frontier Bank locations in Lincoln. They are located at 70th and O streets and 84th and Glynoaks Drive.
