Isolated Storms Possible Sunday Evening, Better Chances Statewide on Monday
Severe Weather Potential:
Very isolated storm chances remain on the table for Sunday evening in eastern Nebraska. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) is in place with quarter-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts possible in the strongest storms.

Sunday evening’s storm chances are expected to remain very isolated, with better chances for showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday. Above is the latest run of StormCast showing storm chances across the state over the next couple of days.
The majority of the state has at least some chance of seeing severe weather on Monday, with the greatest risk in southwestern Nebraska and portions of the panhandle. A Slight Risk (Level 2 out of 5) of severe weather is in place for Scottsbluff, North Platte and McCook, meaning scattered severe storms are possible. Eastern Nebraska will see the remnants of the stronger storms out west late on Monday night and into early Tuesday morning.

Western Nebraska could see an isolated severe storm or two on Tuesday as well. A Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place at this time.
Forecast:
Low temperatures this evening will be seasonal for central and western Nebraska, though several of us in the southeastern corner of the state may not drop below the 60s.
An isolated storm or two cannot be ruled out early in the evening for Lincoln, but the majority of the overnight is expected to remain dry.
It will be a fitting start to meteorological summer on Monday with highs expected from the mid 80s to the lower 90s.
After a mild start to the day, cloud cover is expected to decrease throughout the afternoon in the Capital City. Highs will reach the lower 90s around dinner time.
After a warm start to the work week, highs return to the 80s for the rest of the work week. Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be possible with a slow-moving upper air pattern. Long-term forecasts are trending towards a very warm second week of June.
