Storm chances into Friday, then drying out and getting hot

We have one more day where storms will be possible, then we dry out and warm up.

Spc01

There is a level 1-2 “Marginal” to “Slight” risk for severe storms Thursday evening in western Nebraska. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concerns.

Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storms. After the storm move through western Nebraska, the wave of energy will try to pop a few showers and storms in central and eastern Nebraska Friday.

Drought01

We still need rain, too. The latest Drought Monitor does have some improvements, but many areas are still in an extreme to exceptional drought.

Visibility Model

We’ll start Friday off with quite a bit of cloud cover and maybe a little patchy fog.

State Forecast Highs Tomorrow

With the added cloud cover, we’ll stay cooler than average. It’ll be humid, though.

State Forecast Highs Day After Tomorrow

The heat gets back to normal on Saturday with highs in the 80s and 90s. And we just go up from there… see 10Day below.
