Storms possible Tuesday night and Wednesday

Storms are likely Wednesday night, but they will be isolated in nature, so not everyone will see them. We’ll have another chance on Wednesday, as well.

For tonight, there is a large level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms, with a level 2 “Slight Risk” in far SE Nebraska.

The green shaded area is for an isolated thunderstorm threat through 8-10pm Tuesday. The yellow shaded area is for storms that will form after sunset in SE Nebraska then move east into Iowa. See the above video for location and timing.

Klkn Spc Hail Outlook

Storms that do form may drop some quarter size hail in central Nebraska and golf ball size hail in eastern Nebraska into Iowa and Missouri.

Klkn Spc Wind Outlook

60 mph wind gusts are possible with the storms that form in central Nebraska. The yellow shaded area may see 60+ mph wind gusts.

Klkn Spc Tor Outlook

A quick spin up tornado will be possible in the green shaded area, as well.

Moving into Wednesday, scattered showers and storms are possible with a few isolated strong storms possible by the late afternoon. See the video above for those details.

State Forecast Highs Tomorrow

It will be cooler on Wednesday, but still mild. Most of us will be in the 60s and 70s.
